Saturday to Saturday rentals. Arrival time 4.00pm, departure time 10.00am.
25% booking deposit; balance six weeks prior to stay. Payment accepted: Cheques in Euro or £ sterling or BACS in Euro or £ sterling, or PayPal (there is a charge of 3-4% due to PayPal if you use this method.)
Off-peak (Jan/Feb/Mar/April/Oct/Nov/Dec):
If you are interested in staying for longer than one week off-peak please contact us. We may be able to offer a discount.
Other charges – Deposit
150 Euro / £133 damage deposit, refundable in full.
Energy
As it is a bright and sunny house it does not usually need heating in Summer. The weekly prices above include up to 60 Euros of combined oil and electricity (metered). A surcharge may be made if over 60 Euros worth of energy in total is used per week. Heating oil (Carbery Oils) is 1 Euro per unit (litre) and electricity (ESB) supply 17 cents per unit.
Refuse
We are keen to recycle as much as refuse as possible. Ireland strongly promotes and provides financial incentives for recycling. Four bins are provided under the kitchen sink for you to facilitate separation of refuse. There is a composting bin near the outside tap for your use. The garage has space for you to keep glass bottles till ready to take for recycling. There is a recycling unit on the main road between Schull and Ballydehob, approximately 5 miles from the house. Please check opening hours online (or by texting Lucy our caretaker) before you go there, as they are not open every day. We would be grateful if you could take your rubbish there. They will not charge you for recyclable goods that you have separated, including glass, tins, paper, cardboard, batteries, clothes and plastic. They will charge 5 Euros approximately per extra-large black plastic sack of mixed rubbish, not suitable for recycling. If rubbish sacks are left at the house, the cleaners will take them and will charge you 15 Euros per black plastic sack.

Dogs
We regret that dogs are not allowed, for reasons of hygiene.
Smoking
The house is non-smoking throughout.
Footwear
The house has oak flooring throughout. Soft-soled shoes are ideal please rather than sharp-heeled shoes.
Windows
The house is light and sunny with floor-to-ceiling windows. We have these regularly cleaned so guests can enjoy uninterrupted views. If you have children, we would be very grateful if you could try to prevent them from leaving fingermarks on the windows as, due to their size and height, it is not practical to have them completely cleaned on the interior at each changeover day. We provide window cleaning spray at the house in case marks occur accidentally.
